On behalf of the Monroeville Police Department, we would like to invite your child (who recently has been enrolled into kindergarten), to attend this year's Monroeville Police Department's Safety Town. During this week your child will be discussing the subjects listed below and seeing movies related to these topics. We will be crossing the streets at the intersections in the area of Huron River Joint Fire Department, using our Safety Town Big Wheels and doing classroom work on these topics.
The topics included: Traffic Lights, Stop Signs, Intersections, Bicycle Safety, Strangers, Gun Safety, Railroads, Police Officers, School Bus and General Safety on Drugs, Matches, Fire and Poisons.
This year the Huron Joint Fire District will be utilizing the Huron County Firefighters' Association's Fire Safety House in their instructions concerning fire prevention and safety.
Your child will be provided with everything they need in the class. There is no charge for this program. We have been conducting this Safety Town for a number of years and we greatly appreciate our sponsors who make this possible.
On Graduation day, the children are to arrive at the normal time with the parents returning an hour later. CAMERAS ARE WELCOME AND ENCOURAGED. We hope your child enjoys our Safety Town this year.
