OFFICER WALLACE J. JOHNSON


Officer Wallace Johnson was born and raised in Huron County attending both Monroeville and South Central Schools. Graduating from South Central High School in 1989, he joined the United States Army shortly after serving in both Operation Desert Shield and Desert Storm.

Enrolling at Terra State College in 1998 for Police Science he obtained his Ohio Police Officer Certification. Officer Johnson served proudly with the Cedar Point, Bay View and Castalia Police Departments before coming back to his roots here in Monroeville in October of 1999.

He has attended numerous training courses and educational seminars at the Ohio Peace Officer Academy, Ohio State Patrol Academy and other accredited agencies staying abreast of key issues and trends in the criminal justice system.

He is a certified instructor with the EHOVE, Sandusky City Schools and Lorain County Community College Police Academies where he teaches ADAP, Speed Enforcement and Emergency Vehicle Operations. He is a technical traffic crash investigator recognized by the Ohio State Highway Patrol as well.
